Just 45 min from Johannesburg on the N1, this freshly updated modern thatch home will relieve city stress on arrival. Relax on the patio and take in the beautiful view of the Loch whilst enjoying a drink with family and friends.

The house itself is a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom en-suite, with a large patio and entertainment area, and a sparkling pool. The house is on 2 acres of rolling lawns in a rustic setting. The staff is friendly and will help you clean up.

It sleeps 6 (or 7) adults and 4(or 3) kids (2 kids on bunk beds and; 2 kids or 1 adult on the sleeper couch, see the floor plan for the layout. There are also concrete slabs for camping facilities (tents available at a fee), just past the pool to the left, hidden in the trees. This can be quite fun for kids, and teenagers wanting a bit of space.

We have DSTV; with an extra HDMI cable should the kids want to bring a console along (in case of rain). We have also upgraded to a full laundry with a modern kitchen and new bathrooms. The Ice machine is a must in Summer.

There is a slipway and jetty if you would like to bring your own boat(s), jet ski(s) or canoe. They can be safely moored at the boathouse at night. Fishing is also an option.

This unique house allows for quiet private getaway or family fun, and is ideal for a private party. A 20 person barge with skipper is available for hire, to take you on a scenic river cruise.

Should you wish to bring more people along, you can also book the house next door connected by an interleading gate – else locked.

The entire house and river frontage becomes your oasis away from the rat race.
